Doi-Sensei brought these teachings to the West for the first time at a Workshop held in Vancouver, BC in 1999 and has since published a book on Gendai entitled: "Iyashino Gendai Reiki-ho": Modern Reiki Method for Healing (Fraser Journal Publishing, 2000. Gendai Reiki contains the teachings of Usui-Sensei that were not available to those outside of Japan. Hayashi-san and Takata-san taught a few techniques in their teachings, but the majority of these teachings were not available until Hiroshi-Sensei decided that Reiki Practitioners had a right to these teachings, and brought them to the West in the true spirit of our Master, Usui-Sensei, who believed that all people have a right to the Reiki Healing ability.

The Gendai give us the spiritual elements of Reiki that has been missing until now, and gives the Reiki practitioner the wisdom and techniques for bringing all the elements of Reiki healing in a holistic system of healing.

There are four levels of the Gendai Reiki-Ho system and students that achieve the Gokuikaiden Level are certified as a Shihan (Master) Degree. However it is asked that these Shihan students continue with their students and form a school of Reiki training to provide the means for their school of Reiki training based upon the Gendai Reiki Ho.

Doi-sensei asks that his system of healing be taught exactly as he has presented it. Therefore I am able to teach each level (Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden) individually for those students NOT holding a Reiki Degree.

I am able to teach his Master Level known as Gokuikaiden (highest level~Shihan) in one day with previous review of Levels Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden for Reiki Degree 3 or Master Degree students.

Support and learning experience is offered to all students of a Gendai Reiki Ho Shihan to broaden the knowledge of Reiki through time shared together.
**All degrees receive an intensive manual based strictly upon this healing system, attunements and certificate with lineage. Gokuikaiden level also receives the Reiju Workshop manual as well.
